LaunchPad announces bespoke internship and employment opportunities platform “Ignition”

LaunchPad today announced the creation of Ignition, a new component of LaunchPad’s mission; to help young adults facing barriers by creating life-changing career opportunities.

With Ignition, employers are free to create their own ‘off-cycle’ internship and professional roles. LaunchPad’s continued focus will remain on internships and entry-level job opportunities, with placements and internships taking place each April-May. But now, employers may create, post, and share additional paid opportunities that do not fall within the traditional academic year.

These Ignition opportunities are currently shared via email to our list of active participants. And all interested participants may apply. As LaunchPad continues to build TalentDB, our tech and placement digital platform, opportunities will eventually exclusively move to the LaunchPad app.

These opportunities will also be posted as LaunchPad stories here as a general notice to participants, but opportunities to apply with contact information will only be available for subscribed participants.

This same format applies to mentorship as well, now named Ignition Mentors. These mentors will be available outside of the traditional academic cycle and career tracks, with designers, artists, creators, and more raising their hands to advise emerging talent on their careers.
