Rasheed J. Daniel is the CEO and founder of TeamSheed Productions, an independent Black-owned company dedicated to advancing inclusion in the television industry.TeamSheed's recurring music competition series Deb’s House (All Blk/ WEtv) is co-created with music mogul Debra Antney known for managing Nicki Minaj. Rasheed's authentic storytelling style draws on his diverse background to bring unique perspectives to life.
He is the Showrunner and EP for the upcoming Netflix series W.A.G.s to Riches (Spoke Studios). W.A.G.s offers a soapy look at successful women of color navigating the complex worlds of fame, relationships, and personal ambition.
Rasheed’s early career flourished from the theatrically released 7 Days in September about 9/11 to reality hits What Not to Wear (TLC), Lala’s Full Court Life (VH1), The Real Housewives of New Jersey(Bravo) and Blood Sweat and Heels (Bravo).
As VP at Big Fish Entertainment, Rasheed helped drive the ratings success of the Black Ink Crew (Vh1) franchise. A proud member of the first Black fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, Rasheed is committed to mentoring a diverse roster of young creatives. As Co-EP for Bossip’s Moguldom Films, he managed microbudget docs A Genius Leaves the Hood and Gunland.
During the Black Lives Matter movement, Rasheed served as showrunner and director for YouTube Originals, A New Green Book, celebrating the civil rights travel guide in digital form. During the 2012 election he served as a live director for BET’s political series Don’t Sleep, hosted by T.J. Holmes.
A trained stand-up comedian, Rasheed continues to push for the next generation of representation as a host and judge of the Montclair film festival’s Emerging Filmmaker competitions and sits on the board of Launchpad, a charity providing career opportunities for young adults facing barriers.
